Schools on the North Shore

If you’re in the market for a new home, there’s a lot of factors to consider: price, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, the size of the lot and the home’s condition -- just to name a few. But have you taken into account the local school district? Even if you don’t have or never plan to have school-age children, the quality of nearby schools can have an impact on how much you pay — and how much you sell a home for later.

The major reason property values are so high on the North Shore is because of our schools.  A school’s high rating often drives up the prices of homes in that school’s district.   Quality schools basically establish an area as a good location

Further, an excellent school district helps protect homeowners from the real estate market’s fluctuations. Even in a down market, an excellent school can be the rising tide that lifts all nearby home prices.

Real estate never comes with guarantees. But it’s certain that parents will always want the best school they can afford for their kids. In markets good and bad, home buyers should think about resale when seriously considering a home.
